We have been at the pool every day this week in hopes that Maddy would begin swimming on her own. In the beginning of the week she wouldn’t let go of us. The next day she would let go, but we had to hold her swim suit or arm floaties. The next day we could just hold the back strings of her suit. Wednesday we let go without her notice…and she was off from there when she realized she did it all on her own. Within minutes, she was swimming across the length of the pool, jumping in the hot tub and going under water (while holding her nose) and jumping into the big pool when we catch her. It’s only a matter of time before she is all over the pool!
