I have updated some pictures from both Madison and Phil’s Birthdays, Halloween festivities and random pictures of the girls.
Halloween was a success. To prevent scary or inappropriate costumes, each kindergarten student had to dress up as a nursery rhyme character. Madison was a diamond in the sky (that Twinkle Little Star wants to be like) for her nursery rhyme parade at school. Upon arrival to school they had a parade through the halls and all the other grade levels sat or stood outside their classrooms and clapped as the kindergartners walked past and waved. There were many proud parents with cameras too.
For trick or treating, Madison wanted to go as a pink poodle for the evening. Alisha is becoming quite domesticated and made both costumes. We had planned to dress Lizzy up as the blue “M&M”, but it didn’t work out. She fell asleep just before we decided to go around. After she woke up, there just wasn’t time with a 6 year old already half way across the neighborhood. So, i just pushed Lizzy around in the stroller and she marveled at all the weird people.
We also decorated pumpkins and Maddy wanted this weird one called a “Fairytale Pumpkin” I believe. Last year she was a bit frightened of the whole messy deal of cleaning out the guts. This year she dove right in (literally). With my help she cut out the top and cleaned out the innards. Then she designed the face on her own, and cut out the nose, eyes and face with little direction or help from me. She is becoming so independent.
At 8.5 months old, Lizzy is now feeding herself cereal and bottles. She is crawling across the floor very fast and pulling her self up on things to cruise. Last weekend she even started to stand for seconds at a time without holding on to anything. She’s growing so fast.
This month of November and is packed for me. Election Day is today…get out and vote. Luckily, Texas allows early voting, so I voted last Tuesday and didn’t wait in a line. My Dad is coming into town this weekend and we are trying to make it to the UT/Baylor game. In addition we will be going to Wurstfest. The day dad leaves, am flying out to Washington DC with my office mate to attend a conference. I get back on the 14th and two weeks later is Thanksgiving. So, look for game pictures, DC pictures and Thanksgiving pictures.
Cheers!
