I feel like I should be more interesting than this. But I am not. We have photo and video equipment and a baby and they collide quite frequently. On a side note, we are going to try our greenish thumbs at gardening. We built a garden box in our backyard, and I went to a neighborhood garden seed-swap and got some vegetable seeds to grow. So that should be fun.
And no, our thumbs aren’t greenish for any reason in particular… sickos.

Multiple buddies have been telling me to get this 50mm fixed 1.8 lens. I am not a photographer, so it took someone actually showing me how a shallow depth of field could actually enhance a picture. The lens itself was like 75 bucks, and I have been really pleased with the clarity.
Check out the results on my favorite subject:

Eli is now able to roll-over. We have proof. It is a pretty exciting video because at first it doesn’t look like he will do it, and then he does it. I guess you have to be a parent…
By the way, this is what we do every night.

The Dagani clan is officially back from the great white north and getting settled back into normal life. We had a great time over break visiting with lots of family and friends. We were glad that Eli got to meet so many people for the first time as well as got to see his first real snow (8 inches to be exact)
Our other exciting news is that our plumbing is officially fixed. Gabe has been digging under the house since November and our plumber finally finished installing a new pipe this week. I’m now able to use our washing machine and dish washer. Gabe is just grateful to not have to dig anymore. Now he just has to fill up the hole.
